Deliver Projects on Time and Within Budget
The new dashboard in NetSuite SuiteProjects adds another visibility and reporting capabilities layer.
Oracle NetSuite today introduced a new dashboard for NetSuite SuiteProjects that will help services-based organizations manage projects for their clients more efficiently. Oracle NetSuite Project 360 gives project managers a centralized view of key metrics, reports, statuses, and resources from across SuiteProjects, giving them a better understanding of critical project data. It allows project managers to reduce administrative work and immediately identify projects that require attention and take corrective action.
“One of the largest difficulties facing services firms is a lack of visibility into project progress, budget, and forecast,” said Gary Wiessinger, SVP of product management at Oracle NetSuite. “This inhibits project managers’ ability to measure project health and intervene if needed easily.” “At NetSuite, we take pleasure in providing our customers with what we call ‘SuiteNess,’ or the ability to integrate insights and actions throughout their whole business.”
Project 360 is a great example of this since it gives clients a unified view of their projects, customers, staff, and financials, allowing project managers to be more proactive and take steps to keep projects on track. “NetSuite SuiteProjects, which combines Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Human Resources (HR), and Accounting/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to give customers a comprehensive platform to run a services organization, is enhanced by Project 360. It can consolidate data from many SuiteProjects into a single dashboard, providing customers with a centralized view of critical project data and allowing them to track KPIs conveniently. It can also save time on administrative tasks by allowing project managers to navigate to individual project sections from a single workspace. Project managers can use Project 360 to optimize:
Project Budget Analysis: Analyzes spending and allocation to assist project managers in determining whether there is a sufficient budget to accomplish a project. Project Forecast Estimate at Completion (EAC) also aids in determining if the project will be completed within the original budget.
Project Billing allows project managers to see how much is now chargeable to the customer and how much has yet to be invoiced, making it easier for them to correct and issue invoices when necessary.
Project Profitability: Assists project managers in determining if a project is profitable based on income recognized and total costs to date.
Project Resourcing: Provides a “social view” (names and images) of the project team, a representation of the project Gantt chart, and insights into how much time each resource has spent versus the total for each assignment to help managers understand the resources allocated to a project.
Project Health and Status: It allows project managers to rapidly and easily access specific project information such as billing and revenue, budgeting, resourcing and planning, and financials.
Client Information: Provides project managers with an overview of the client and contact information and data.
